I am a stay-at-home mom.  I never thought I could have children, but just shy of my fortieth birthday, I was blessed with the gift of my lifetime, a beautiful baby girl.  I transitioned from a life of leisure and “me-ism” to utter selflessness and “she-ism”.  Parenting is truly a journey unlike any other.  Until a child is in your care, you can’t imagine the magnitude of responsibility.  Over the past ten years, I not only gained insight into motherhood, I have also become as informed as I can about what is going on in our country.  It really concerns me to see the wonderful freedoms with which I was extremely fortunate to have been raised being taken away while our citizens look on with apathy.
